The In-Line PSU gives more power alternatives by providing a dock for an off camera Hybrid Power unit.
The Hybrid Power unit and In-line PSU together convert incoming hybrid power voltage and send it, along with the digital signals, onward over 20 metres of hybrid fibre optic cable to the Z-Link Camera Adapter.
The In-Line PSU can include a mains power supply so it may be used without the hybrid power unit where local power is available. Again, power to the camera adapter is supplied over the hybrid fibre optic cable up to 20 metres from the In-line PSU.
* note when using the In-Line PSU the available power at the camera is reduced in relation to the length of the cable between the In-Line PSU and the camera unit.
Battery Power
provision to use a battery is always available as an alternative to Hybrid power and is recomended for links beyond the 2km Hybrid Power range.
